Registration is now open for the April 20 Bataan Memorial Death March on the Potomac – Saturday, April 20, 2024. Let’s honor our heroes for their service and sacrifice, fighting under the American Flag in World War II.
The memorial march will kick off at 0800 am. The start point is on Dangerfield Island Marina in Alexandria, VA. The marchers can march up to 14 miles on a route along the Potomac River and goes through Old Town Alexandria. Marchers can opt to do a 3, 6, or 14 miles. It’s not a race. The march honors the fallen of Bataan and Corregidor. Over 10,000 Filipinos and 2,000 AMericans perished on the march to prison camps after the surrendering on Bataan on April 9, 1942
